Many tractors began to be released under two names, New Holland in traditional Ford markets, and FIAT in their traditional markets. In 1999, CaseIH and FIAT/New Holland merged to form CNH Global, which continutes to built tractors under the New Holland brand.

When the bale passes through the chamber, an empty radio frequency ID tag applied, and when it exits the chamber, and passes off the chute, the information is recorded by the processor, including bale weight, moisture content, date and time and its GPS location. An infrared scanner can then be used to read the tag.

Harvesters now had the ability to effectively use their combines to harvest grain on hillsides with up to a 50% slope gradient.
Different manufacturers produce equipment with various differentiating features, and selecting the right track is challenging to some operators. The Swaraj Division traces its history to the India’s Green Revolution in the 1960s, and shares its milestones with those of Indian agriculture. The first prototype for a Swaraj Tractor was created in 1967. The Government of Punjab acquired its design in 1970, and then established as Punjab Tractors Limited for its production. Years after its success, Mahindra & Mahindra bought a majority stake in the company in 2007, eventually merging it with Mahindra as the Swaraj Division in 2009.
